Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to bring my own containers?
No, we provide waxed cardboard
flats for you to use and take home. You can fill them however full you
want, although we recommend not putting more than 10 lbs in a flat.
If it rained, will I get muddy or wet?
We use cornstalks as mulch around
the strawberry plants. You may get a little wet, but you will not get
muddy.
Do you pick berries in the rain?
It is your choice if you want to
continue picking, but if there is lightening we request that
you come in from the field.
Do you take credit cards or debit cards?
Yes.
How do you make strawberry jam?
We use the recipe off the Sure Jell
box. Our favorite is the freezer jam.
Will the strawberries ripen after they are picked? No
How long will the strawberries keep in the refrigerator?
Several days.
Do not wash them or take their stems off until you are ready
to eat them. Store them in the refrigerator, uncovered or loosely
covered.
How do you wash strawberries?
Put them in a colander and rinse them
off with cool water. Do not soak them in water.
How many acres of strawberries are you picking? 12
Do I need to come the first few days to get the "big" berries?
No! We have several different beds that ripen at different times. You
may come a week after we open and pick in a bed that is just ready to
be picked.
What hours are you open?
Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM and from 4:00 PM – 8:30 PM.

YES!!! We encourage you to bring your family and experience the fun
of picking strawberries.

Yes! We have freshly picked
berries at the strawberry stand. You can purchase them by the
quart or by the flat (10 lbs).
